Gatklettur (also known as Hellnar Arch) is a little known gem located on Iceland’s Snaefellnes Peninsula. Between the coastal towns of Arnarstapi and Hellnar, the waves have eroded the Gatklettur Rock, forming a unique and picturesque arch. Watch the wildlife nesting in the cliffs along the coastline and take in the magnificent mountains scape that lies behind you. This is a low key scenic wonder that won’t have load upon load of tourist busses.
