30 minutes out of Tauranga lies Omanawa Falls. A short and easy 10 minute walk lands you upon the official viewing platform that looks down on the 35 metre high waterfall. The water looks as if it’s coming out of no where, and falls elegantly into a blue lagoon like tropical oasis. A lot of people have also been known to take the unofficial track down to the base of the falls. This involves steep, slippery terrain and is not recommended unless you’re with someone who can advise the safest path.
